Testimonials

We enjoyed your classes so much and looked forward to each one. We especially found the breathing exercises useful in Isabelle’s natural labour and delivery. I have gotten my class book and notes back out for the new addition expected in March 2013! Thank you – The Lane Family

Julie taught us all we needed to know in a way that was easy to understand and appropriate to our situation.  Her way of teaching is informal and fun, but is factual and up to date.  The benefits of the sessions aided us in the birth of our daughter, but the relationships made with the other parents have been priceless – a lifeline at every stage of this exciting yet challenging role of being a parent – 20 months on I can definitely say that I have made friends for life and would wholeheartedly recommend anyone to go on one of Julie’s courses. – Kate McNeil

Forget all other ante-natal classes: a Birth Matters course is the best investment you can make when you’re having a baby. Julie Greatwood is passionate about what she does and will guide you  and your partner through each stage of your impending labour, delivery and the first challenging weeks with your newborn. And you’ll actually have fun! Through the friends I made at Birth Matters, I didn’t feel left alone during the first weeks with Louis after my husband went back to work; there was always someone to ring and to meet up with for coffee and a chat. A Birth Matters course is the most valuable time you’ll spend preparing for the birth of your baby. – Alice Browne and Louis

I attended a Birthmatters antenatal course in December 2013 and found the whole experience fantastic. I was a little apprehensive to start but thought it was important to support my partner and attend as many of the sessions as possible. As soon as I got there I realised it wasn’t just about Mums and our soon to be born bundles of joy but as a father to be I felt involved at all times. It was good to meet other Dads and we had a good laugh learning to change nappies and bathe our little ones.

Julie’s approach is relaxed, friendly and highly informative without being over bearing. She allowed us to to voice our own opinions and thoughts whilst sharing her experience and knowledge with the group. Julie’s support doesn’t end when the course is complete, she genuinely cares and is always there if you need her.

I finished the course much better prepared and with a new group of friends about to go through the same experience.- Keith and Vicky
